Beliefs

We believe in the verbal plenary inspiration of the Old and New Testaments (66 books).  The Scriptures are the only and final authority for faith and life, inerrant, infallible and God-breathed.  We believe that the Scriptures interpreted in their natural, normal, literal, historical context reveal divinely determined dispensations or periods of time.  The King James translation of the Bible shall be the official translation used in the church.

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons:  Father, Son and Holy Spirit – co-eternal in being, co-equal in power and glory, having the same divine attributes and perfections.

We believe that each person of the Godhead exercises these attributes in varied offices but without division of nature, essence or being.

We believe that God created the universe in six literal, twenty-four hour periods.

We believe the Father is the first person of the Trinity (not in rank, but in number).  As a person He possesses self-consciousness, self-determination, intellect, volition, emotion and personality.  These characteristics do not, however, necessitate the existence of matter for God is Spirit.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the second person of the Trinity, the eternal Son of God, became man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man.  Jesus Christ was born into the world without a sin nature and He knew no sin.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross:  a propitiatory, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice; and that our justification is made sure by His shed blood and by His literal, bodily resurrection from the dead.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended bodily to heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God the Father, where, as our High Priest, He fulfills the ministry of Representative, Intercessor and Advocate.

We believe that the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, convicts the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment.  He is the supernatural agent in regeneration, baptizing all believers into the Body of Christ, indwelling all believers permanently, sealing them unto the day of redemption.

We believe in a Pre-millennial Second Coming of Christ.  A seven year period on earth will follow the Rapture called the Tribulation period.  At the end of this time, Christ will personally and visibly return with His saints to establish His earthly Messianic Kingdom (Millennium) which was promised to the nation of Israel.

We believe that salvation is the gift of God.  It cannot be earned by good works.  It is made available to every man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins.  We believe that all the redeemed are kept by God’s power and are thus secure in Christ forever.  This security is guaranteed to each believer by the fact that the life received is eternal life, by the keeping power of God, by the sealing ministry of the Holy Spirit, and by the interceding ministry of Christ.

We believe in the one true Church, the living, spiritual Body and Bride of the Lord Jesus Christ, composed of believers from Pentecost to the Rapture.  Christ is the head of this Church into which all believers are baptized by the Holy Spirit.

We believe that the local church is an organization composed of believers, and is the center of God’s redemptive program for this age.  It was instituted for the purpose of worship, evangelism, edification and fellowship.  In matters of administration and polity it is independent and self-governing.

These statements do not exhaust the extent of our faith.  The Bible is the sole and final source of all that we believe
